"Artwork that is only about wanting to be famous will never make you famous"

this story which has happened in Sao Paulo is still giving me the mind fuck...the more and more i look into these "pixadores" the more and more i am fascinated with their form of "writing". it's very interesting, their guerilla warfare like tactiks on the streets of brazil are like i have never seen before...

the actions taken on the Choque Cultural Gallery at first seemed like a pointless act of vandalism and disregard of respect for fellow artist...until i actually started thinking about it...they had a message...and weather or not it was done over a nike billboard, or a small gallery holding art from fellow street artist, the message is still the same...i've thought about doing this myself from time to time...

point is,

if Banksy walked into this Gallery, it would of been a different story, with the same outcome...

i'm not saying i fully support this so-called "act"
but if you look for the deeper meaning within the message...
it kind of makes sense.
